Please join Co-Directors Janet Zeller and Shawn Harrison for a farm walk and talk. We will share priority projects for the coming year and show you what has been accomplished since the onset of the pandemic by our small but mighty team. We want you to see the progress we’ve made to restore and develop the historic American River Ranch and establish a Center for Food, Health & the Environment after many years of dreaming, planning, cultivating partnerships and seeking funding. We will discuss innovative strategies the leadership team has utilized to help Soil Born Farms survive and thrive during these difficult times. You’ll learn about the mission aligned micro businesses we are creating to provide consistent revenue, support our programs and help close funding gaps. We want you to know how much we appreciate your support, encouragement and participation through the years. We couldn’t do this without you.
Lunch will be served at 12pm. You’ll enjoy delicious soup and salad prepared by our Culinary Arts Team. After lunch, naturalist Cliff Hawley will lead a one-hour nature walk around the American River Ranch that is sure to delight and bring a sense of awe. There is so much wildlife to see on the farm this time of year. Space is limited to 40 guests on each day. We look forward to spending some time together in February. Bundle up and wear boots or good walking shoes. This is an outside event. We may reschedule if there is a storm.
