Ready for a farm adventure? Youth ages 6-11 are encouraged to join us on the 1st Saturday of the month in experiencing Soil Born Farms as you explore, investigate, taste, make and garden. Each Saturday has a unique focus that will offer students new learning experiences, opportunities to make new friends and a chance for them to connect with the outdoor world.

Parents are encouraged to enjoy a relaxing morning on the farm, listen to live music, meet friends for coffee at Phoebe’s, take a walk or class, shop for produce and plants or drop off their kids and have three hours to themselves on Saturday morning. This can be a good option for siblings, play dates or scout troops. This three hour experience requires pre-registration and parents must sign a waiver.

Let’s Meet the Sheep!
Saturday, June 6, 9am-12pm
Soil Born Farms welcomes our first livestock back on the farm. Join us for this meet and greet with our new Dorper sheep flock. Learn all about how we care for these special animals and how they will help benefit the farm. Students will also create two art pieces based on our sheep friends.

Watercolor Wonders
Saturday, Sept 5, 9am-12pm
As we move towards Autumn and the leaves begin to change color, we still enjoy the last bits of color from our Youth Garden flowers and vegetables. Join us for a fun class where we act as scientists to create our own water color paints using the petals from some of the garden’s most vibrant colored plants. To add to our fun we will have a chance to use our water color sets to paint a beautiful picture using the garden as our inspiration. Songs, games, and plenty of fun will surely be a part of the experience too!
