Discover the wonder of the farm through our multi-sensory exploration sessions for toddlers age 3-5 and an adult chaperone. Sing songs, play games, listen to stories and explore with all our senses. Toddlers will gain new vocabulary, practice social skills and work on executive functions.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Flying Feathered Friends (New Activities)
Comment start Come discover our flying feathered friends. Students will learn about the birds found on the American River Ranch. We’ll identify different important birds on the farm, build our own binoculars, and make paper feathers. We’ll wrap up by meeting the farm’s chickens.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Tree-mendous Tree Trek
Take a walk to visit the trees of the farm. Make nature art using natural objects collected from trees. We will paint with crushed Oak galls and create creatures with acorns. Read the Giving Tree and sing the Live Oak Song.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Phenomenal Pumpkin Crafts
Join us in the Youth Garden where we’ll get to jump right into fall with our pumpkin themed crafts. We’ll make crepe paper pumpkin paintings, assemble luminous pumpkin suncatchers, and create pumpkin seed art.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Lovely Fall Leaf Fun
Dive into the world of leaves in the Youth Garden where we’ll get to learn how to make art with things found in nature, specifically the fabulous leaves falling all around us! Students will practice their fine motor skills while making a painted leaf collage, building a beautiful butterfly, and crafting a tiny hedge hog out of dried oak leaves.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Farm Animal Friends Art Day
Learn about the awesome animals on the farm! We’ll make funny foxes out of leaves and build a fluffy sheep with cotton. We’ll also get to make chicken art and end our day by meeting one of our very own resident Soil Born Farms chickens.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Twigs, Tea, and Everything in Between
Join us in discovering the amazing ways we can use our senses to learn about nature. We’ll build a hanging chime out of sticks, collect herbs to make wonderfully scented herb satchels, and create paint brushes made from natural materials found on the farm. We’ll end our day tasting delicious tea we make from the herbs we harvest!
