Exploring the Wonders of Nature
Ready for a farm adventure? Youth ages 6-11 are encouraged to join us on the 1st Saturday of the month in experiencing Soil Born Farms as you explore, investigate, taste, make and garden. Each Saturday has a unique focus that will offer students new learning experiences, opportunities to make new friends and a chance for them to connect with the outdoor world.

Parents are encouraged to enjoy a relaxing morning on the farm, listen to live music, meet friends for coffee at Phoebe’s, take a walk or class, shop for produce and plants or drop off their kids and have three hours to themselves on Saturday morning. This can be a good option for siblings, play dates or scout troops. This three hour experience requires pre-registration and parents must sign a waiver.

Lightning Bug Fireworks
Saturday, September 6, 9:00am-12:00pm

Join us at the farm as we explore all the wonderful and exciting ways insects help keep our garden alive and bountiful. During the class kids 6-11 will learn how to identify some insect friends and their habitats as well as how to collect and observe them safely. Students will even learn how to make a very cool insect that they can take home to help light up the night!

Meet Our New Farm Animals
Saturday, October 4, 9:00am-12:00pm

Soil Born Farms is thrilled to see our new animal barn being built and can not wait to introduce you to some of the new animal friends that will be arriving in the spring of 2026! Join us on the farm as we discuss the first animal to return to the farm ––sheep. Kids ages 6-11 will learn some exciting information about our animal program and make a fun little fluffy sheep to take home and introduce to your family!

Bird and Bee Friends, Let’s Take Care of Them
Saturday, November 1, 9:00am-12:00pm

Winter is coming! Winter is coming! The Fall harvests have been collected and the farmer is winding down for a winter’s rest. So too are many of our animal and insect friends. Spend time on the farm learning how to help winter our local bird and native bee populations during this colder time of the year. Students will use what they learn in this class to make seed balls and native bee habitats to take home and use in their gardens. The fun might include a silly song, magical story, or interactive game centered around our bird and bee friends!

Wreath Making
Saturday, December 6, 9:00am-12:00pm

What do you get when you cross dried grape vines with other natural materials and your imagination? A beautiful winter themed wreath! Kids 6-11 will “go on the hunt” around the farm looking for natural items that they can use to make one-of-a-kind colorful wreaths to take home.
