Wednesdays, 5:30-8:30 pm: September 28, October 5, 12, 19 and 26
This workshop series is intended for beginning farmers and ranchers in the first few years of production. Thea Rittenhouse, along with other sustainable agriculture experts, will address farm business and marketing plans, logistics and legalities of starting a farm business, finding land, and record keeping essentials. Students will finish the series with a draft business plan and a greater understanding of the business skills necessary for a successful farm.
Location: American River Ranch, 2140 Chase Drive, Rancho Cordova.
