There will be a demonstration of water bath canning for citrus marmalade, lemon curd, spiced orange jelly and oranges in light syrup. You will also learn how to make candied orange peels. The instructors will answer your questions and show you the step by step process for each recipe. You’ll go home with the basics of food preservation techniques and with recipes for each demo.

. In this class, learn the essential elements of savoring. Additionally, you’ll have an opportunity to put your newfound skills into practice. You’ll go for a savoring walk on the farm, practice mindful eating, and learn how to incorporate a “gratitude practice” into your everyday life.
Find out how to save seeds from your favorite crops. We will discuss the importance of seed saving, how to care for the plants to assure a good seed supply and how to create the right environment to save seeds. You will learn the difference between open pollinated plants and hybrid seeds, and will get hands-on experience cleaning and storing seeds.
