The class has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 22. Many times people do not know what to expect or how to maintain health as they enter their middle and elder years of life. Learn about herbs and foods that will keep your vitality, mind and spirit supported and enhanced as you age. We will discuss what it means to get older and enter into a new “room” in our life. Topics will include bone, heart and circulatory health as well as cognitive well-being.

Start your morning off with a pleasant walk around American River Ranch. We will experience a variety of resident birds along with winter, migrant, or summer birds depending on the season. This walk is ideal for beginner to intermediate birdwatchers.

This workshop, for teachers, educators, and volunteers, will look at 12 plants that attract pollinators, stimulate the senses, provide edible treats for students, have herbal uses and create beautiful environments in your school gardens. In our after-school enrichment program youth will gain interactive, hands-on cooking experiences with local produce and organic ingredients. Teens will work together to prepare and share dishes that are both tasty and healthy. Our farm-to-fork recipes will teach youth where their food comes from while allowing them to appreciate healthy foods firsthand and gain a foundation of culinary skills while building a supportive community. We are devoted to giving every teen the opportunity of a positive connection to whole foods and empowering them to cook for themselves and their families. Dinner included every time we meet.
