Special Summer Program

Through experiential learning, discovery and play, youth will deepen their connection to food, health and the environment. Participants will explore, create, learn, sing and enjoy the outdoors. Kids on the Farm classes are designed for youth ages 7 to 11 years old. Each themed class will be unique and can be enjoyed as individual classes or taken as a series.

June 24: Pollinator Palooza

Birds, butterflies, bees, oh my! Discover the amazing pollinators in our flower garden and on our farm through songs, games and exploration.

July 1: We Dig Dirt

Let’s discover the ground beneath our feet! Kids will have a chance to explore soil, compost, worms and more, while getting their hands dirty in the garden.

July 8: Roots, Shoots and Seeds

Kids will spend their morning exploring seeds, meeting our gardeners, harvesting produce and getting their hands dirty as they learn all about the 6 plant parts.

July 15: Nature Creations

Youth will explore the intersection of art and nature during their morning at Soil Born Farms where beauty abounds. From flower petal murals to pine paint brushes, participants will craft and create using nature’s gifts.

July 22: Calling All Critters

Who lives on the farm? Track, discover, observe and learn about the animals that share the ecosystem with us at Soil Born Farms.

July 29: Water Wizards

Explore, play and learn along Cordova Creek and the beautiful American River! Kids will learn all about water and its role in our ecosystem as they discover this special natural resource.

Price: $30 per class.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds. Must give notice at least 2 business days prior to class to receive a credit.
