Designed for beginning gardeners, the Grow Your Groceries Beginning Home Gardener Weekend Intensive will cover the essential topics to help the new gardener create and maintain a thriving, abundant edible organic garden. Combining indoor presentations with interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to get out and grow food for you and your family.

• Water and Irrigation
• Garden Ecology & Pest Control
• Growing Herbs and Perennials

Location: American River Ranch in the Schoolhouse and Garden, 2140 Chase Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670

Price: Early bird rate through February 26, $175. Regular rate after February 26, $195.

Notes: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate work clothes. Bring gardening gloves, a hat, and a snack, if desired.  We recommend bringing a binder for the course packet and note taking.  A flashlight is recommended for the walk from the classroom to the parking lot, as it will be dark by the end of class during the first half of the course.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests can be made through April 17, 2020 for a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. We cannot provide refunds for cancellation requests made after April 25, but we will allow you to send someone in your place with advanced notification.
