This class will introduce concepts and skills required to start your own home herbal medicine chest with just a small number of herbs that cover a lot of basic needs. We’ll talk about choosing herbal preparations (teas, tinctures, herbal foods, oils) for each herb we talk about, and practice some hands-on medicine-making. You’ll take home herbal products of your own making to start your collection.

You’ll learn:

1. The primary uses of some key herbs for addressing minor illness and improving health, plus herbs they can be paired with for different objectives.
2. Basic medicine making, including teas, tinctures, herbal foods, and oils.
3. How to think about and build your home medicine chest.
