Every season at the American River Ranch is unique and beautiful. We have planned a day of activities the whole family will enjoy including a pop-up Farmstand in the barn with fresh-from-the-field winter vegetables.

Our Grow Your Groceries Beginning Home Gardener intensive will cover the essential topics to help the new gardener create and maintain a thriving, abundant edible organic garden. Combining indoor presentations and interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to get out and grow food for you and your family.
Session Dates:
Farmers (entering grade level 7–12): June 18–22
Gardeners (entering grade level 4–6 with Thursday overnight option*): June 25–29
Sprouts (entering grade level 1–3) July 9–13
Farm Friends (entering grade level 1–6): August 6–10
*All campers will be dropped off on Thursday at 8am. For campers who are staying the night, pickup will be Friday at 12pm. Campers who are not spending the night can be picked up at 12pm (regular camp ending time) or after dinner (around 7:30pm).
