Youth will spend the week learning about the American River Ranch and connecting to their food, their health and the environment. In the garden, around the farm, and at the American River, campers will become stewards of the natural world and build a new community of friends. For ages 9-12

Take a tour of the farm while learning the principles of regenerative agriculture. See how our farmers implement regenerative practices that revitalize the land and restore the historic American River Ranch. Many of these principles can be applied to your home garden. Everyone can play a part in creating a climate-safe California.
his class will present opportunities for staying well and thriving in the winter with herbs and practices. We’ll talk about the body in the winter, immunity, the best herbs for the season, and my go-to herbal recipes for winter wellness, including teas, tinctures, syrups, and foods. We’ll walk around the farm to see the plants in their slowing state, and make herbal medicine together.
ome join in the fun as youth from ages 6-11 use their curiosity to explore with us as we visit the restored Cordova Creek ecosystem and the beautiful American River. Kids will become naturalists as we search for evidence of wildlife and discover the plants that live there.
