Learn about drought tolerant plants that are perfect for your front or backyard landscape in this hands-on class. Help install a demo landscape in Soil Born Farm’s Sustainability Square while you learn about and become familiar with various plant options. Families are welcome.
Turn, stir, sift and layer. Learn about basic composting while we work together to heat up our own Soil Born compost bin.
Explore, observe and learn about many local pollinators including native bees, butterflies, bats and other specialists. Learn how you can attract all types to your yard.

Help build our herb spiral, while learning about the needs of various herbs and how this structure can conserve water and create a variety of growing environments.

Help us care for our native plants and install a unique olla-based irrigation system that can be run from a rainwater collection tank.
Work and Learn Days are opportunities to gain knowledge, build hands-on skills and meet new friends. We will be working outdoors in Sustainability Square which will become a dynamic hands-on learning space for our adult and youth education programs.
