And that native plants have adapted over thousands of years to water availability and climate. Learn about native plants that grow along the American River Parkway and around Folsom Lake. Create a healthy habitat for yourself and critters using plants that benefit wildlife, use less water and little to no pesticides or herbicides. We will discuss and view slides of native plants in this region and then tour the Nursery and Demonstration Gardens.
