Roasted Tomatillo Salsa

For a tasty green salsa try this roasted pepper and tomatillo salsa.


1 lbs tomatillos
3-5 fresh hot peppers (jalepenos or serranos)
3 garlic cloves unpeeled
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
2 tsp salt


  1. Remove the husks from the tomatillos and rinse under warm water.
  2. Broil chiles, garlic, and tomatillos, turning once until they are softened and slightly charred, about 7 minutes.
  3. Peel garlic, pull the top of off chiles and puree all ingredients in a blender.
  4. Salt to taste and enjoy!
