Michele’s Delicious Stuffed Apples

Count on Michele to come up with a healthy, quick and delicious recipe for just about anything. At the mention of apples her face lit up as she described her favorite way to enjoy fall’s most popular fruit.

Ingredients:

In a bowl mix together:
1 tablespoon of honey for every apple (less if you don’t want it too sweet)
Handful or two of raisins
1/4 tsp of cinnamon for every apple
Finely chopped walnuts (any desired amount)
1 tsp of melted butter for every apple

Directions:

  1. Core the apples and scrape out a little bit more to make a good-sized hole in your apples. Cut a shallow slit around the center of each apple, just through the skin, approximately 1/8 of an inch deep.
  2. Bake for 35-40 min at 350 degrees. If they start to blacken, cover with foil and continue cooking.
  3. Great with ice cream too!
