No-Cook Fresh Garlicky Cherry Tomato Pasta


1-2 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 pound uncooked whole wheat penne pasta
Grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Place tomatoes in a large bowl. Stir in the basil, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper; let stand at room temperature while past cooks.
  2. Cook pasta according to directions. Drain.
  3. Toss hot pasta with tomato mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
