Fried green tomatoes #1

Ingredients:

Green tomatoes
egg
flour
corn meal
salt
chili powder

Directions:

  1. Dip thick slices of green tomatoes in some egg, and coat in a mixture of flour, corn meal, salt, and chili powder (depending on how spicy you like them).
  2. Fry in a skillet with oil until golden brown.
  3. For a healthier version, try baking the battered rounds in baking dish at 400.
  4. Great topped with any kind of salsa.
