Beet Smoothie Two Ways

Ingredients:

Red
1 medium red beet, peeled

1 cup fresh or frozen berries

1/2 cup frozen fruit (pineapple, peach, etc)

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1/2 cup milk of choice (or 1 cup and omit yogurt for vegan)

2 teaspoons honey

1 tablespoon chia seeds

Orange
1 medium orange beet, peeled

1/2 cup frozen fruit (apricot, peach, etc)

1 large carrot, blanched or juiced

1 orange

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1/2 cup milk of choice

2 teaspoons honey

2 teaspoons turmeric powder

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients for one color smoothie until smooth. Serve chilled.
  2. Rinse blender and blend all ingredients for the other smoothie. Serve chilled. Swirl or layer them together!
