Charred Green Beans with Winter Savory & Pomegranate Seeds

Ingredients:

1 pound green beans, ends trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon fresh winter savory, chopped
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds/arils
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Coat green beans with olive oil.
  2. Heat up a large skillet on high heat. Add the beans to the skillet once a drop of water on the skillet sizzles and evaporates immediately.
  3. Spread out the beans in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Flip the beans and cook 1 minute.
  5. Flip once more a cook for 1 minute.
  6. Lower heat to medium, add the garlic and winter savory and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the balsamic vinegar and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Turn off heat and top beans with pomegranate seeds, salt and pepper.
