Discover the wonder of the farm through our multi-sensory exploration sessions for toddlers age 3-5 and an adult chaperone. Sing songs, play games, listen to stories and explore with all our senses. Toddlers will gain new vocabulary, practice social skills and work on executive functions.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Finding Colors in Nature
Explore the garden with us in search of the colors in nature! Make your own natural prints using plants and flowers. Find leaves from the trees on the farm and discover the colors they make by creating leaf rubbings. We’ll end the day by tasting a rainbow of fruits and veggies we harvest from the farm.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Bees, Honey, and Flowers
Join us in the garden where we’ll learn about the importance of bees! We’ll watch live bees in our observation hive, practice motor skills by building a pollinator, sing the Busy Bee song and end our day by tasting Soil Born’s very own honey!

Discover the beauty of flowers as we build our own tiny bouquets. We’ll practice naming our colors, shapes, scents, and numbers while we harvest flowers. Make a flower bouquet with natural materials!

Come learn the art of flower pressing as we harvest flowers from our garden and make mini-cardboard flower presses students can take home! We’ll use pre-pressed flowers from the farm to make rock art and beautiful ornaments.

Join us as students get to design and hand-print their very own postcards! We’ll harvest natural objects from around the farm to build tiny journals students will get to take home to practice their writing skills!

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Insects Alive (New Activities)
Join us as we hop, skip, and fly around the garden as we discover insects of all kinds. We’ll read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and build our caterpillar. Sing the “Bug Parts” song, and get a close up view of the garden critters through insect magnifiers, and make an insect collage with crepe paper.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Spectacular Seeds (New Activities)
Seeds are so important! Students will observe different shaped seeds by learning how to harvest their own seeds. and. We will build student’s fine motor skills by making our own bird feeders with pine cones. Finally we will sing, “The Farmer Plants the Seed,” make our own seed booklet, and learn how to plant acorn seeds.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Flying Feathered Friends (New Activities)
Comment start Come discover our flying feathered friends. Students will learn about the birds found on the American River Ranch. We’ll identify different important birds on the farm, build our own binoculars, and make paper feathers. We’ll wrap up by meeting the farm’s chickens.

Li’l Sprouts in the Garden: Tree-mendous Tree Trek
Take a walk to visit the trees of the farm. Make nature art using natural objects collected from trees. We will paint with crushed Oak galls and create creatures with acorns. Read the Giving Tree and sing the Live Oak Song.
