Exploring the Wonders of Nature
Ready for a farm adventure? Youth ages 6-11 are encouraged to join us on the 1st Saturday of the month in experiencing Soil Born Farms as you explore, investigate, taste, make and garden. Each Saturday has a unique focus that will offer students new learning experiences, opportunities to make new friends and a chance for them to connect with the outdoor world.

Parents are encouraged to enjoy a relaxing morning on the farm, listen to live music, meet friends for coffee at Phoebe’s, take a walk or class, shop for produce and plants or drop off their kids and have three hours to themselves on Saturday morning. This can be a good option for siblings, play dates or scout troops. This three hour experience requires pre-registration and parents must sign a waiver.

Just for Kids: Berries, Berries, Whose Got the Berries?
Saturday, March 1, 9:00am-12:00pm

Why did the berry turn on the music? Because it wanted to jam! Let’s meet in the Youth Garden to learn about the best way to care for the berries we have on the farm and how to grow these yummy treats! Students will also make a fun little 3d strawberry to take home and enjoy as well as leave the class with a berry to propagate at home.

Just for Kids: Creek Critters and Creatures
Saturday, April 5, 9:00am-12:00pm

Come bring your sense of adventure as we hike to Cordova Creek. Along the way we will search for unique plants, creatures, animal tracks and scat, and other cool surprises at the creek. Songs, games, and plenty of fun will surely be a part of the experience too! So bring your waterproof shoes and a sense of adventure as we explore the waterways on the farm

Just for Kids: Traditional Basket Weaving
Saturday, May 3, 9:00am-12:00pm

Come join us at the farm as we learn about the time honored tradition of basket weaving, especially among Northern California’s original inhabitants–the Miwok and Valley Nisenan. Students will learn simple weaving techniques using natural materials to make either a simple small scale basket or mat.
