You will learn how to prep once for healthy meals all week in this new hands-on class series that will simplify your life and be offered every quarter with new seasonal recipes. Bring your take home containers and leave with a bounty of prepped and cooked vegetables, healthy prepared grains, grilled free range chicken seasoned two ways, homemade vinaigrette and sauces, plus a recipe plan for the week. We’ll shop the farmstand for our farm fresh organic produce and have fun cooking in the farm house kitchen. Class includes take home recipes as well as meal prepped ingredients for each person to take home.

Meal Prep helps get dinner on the table. In this demonstration and lecture, Terese will introduce you to her weekly meal prep plan that will simplify week day cooking and get you on track for eating healthy, vibrant meals. Learn her signature building block recipes and then watch her turn them into lunches and dinners for the week. She’ll make a variety of proteins, grains, vegetables and flavorful sauces to create a variety of quick and delicious meals. You will sample each dish prepared.

There’s so much more than just slicing and dicing, and with proper knife techniques, prepping will be easier and quicker. In this hands on class, you’ll learn the basics, plus simple and beautiful garnishes. Learn how to choose a good knife without spending a fortune, and how to keep your knives sharp and well cared for. You’ll leave with recipes and a bounty of chopped produce ready to turn into dinners for the week. Please bring a chef’s knife, a paring knife and a cutting board to class.

Learn to make spice rubbed grilled chicken with charred tomato salsa, grilled shrimp with avocado cucumber relish, baby back ribs with honey mustard BBQ sauce, grilled vegetable and goat cheese salad, and grilled peaches with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. We will spend the morning learning about all of the wonderful little critters that live on the farm and how they help us. Kids will explore the Youth Garden and the American River Ranch and have the opportunity to engage in various fun, educational activities. Participants will make a farm fresh snack, meet the farm animals and create something to take home. Suggested ages 3-9.

You will learn to teach resiliency skills, stress management skills, and self-soothing techniques that empower children and help them express themselves. You will leave with practical ideas that can help children ages 4 through 17. Recommended for teachers and parents (adults only). No art or garden experience is necessary.
