Youth ages 6-11 are encouraged to join us on the 1st Saturday of the month in experiencing Soil Born Farms as you explore, investigate, taste, make and garden. Each Saturday has a unique focus that will offer students new learning experiences, opportunities to make new friends and a chance for them to connect with the outdoor world.
Start your morning off with a pleasant walk around American River Ranch. We will experience a variety of resident and migratory birds.
Discover the wonder of the farm through our multi-sensory exploration sessions for toddlers age 3-5 and an adult chaperone. Sing songs, play games, listen to stories and explore with all our senses. Toddlers will gain new vocabulary, practice social skills and work on executive functions.
Learn about the benefits of native plants and their adaptability to our climate extremes, while being essential to providing habitat, food and shelter for wildlife.
Take a tour of the farm while learning the principles of regenerative agriculture. See how our farmers implement regenerative practices that revitalize the land and restore the historic American River Ranch.

We are trying something new this year and hope you can join us. Bring some friends and the delta breeze with you! Stay tuned for more details.
Session 3. Learn how to grow food and flowers, harvest and cook with our culinary team, and explore new spaces with us!
