We will practice these skills by cleaning and sharpening Soil Born Farms’ volunteer tools. Bring one of your own garden tools that you want to practice on. We’ll also show you some of our favorite garden tools to add to your collection.
Do you get all tangled up and confused when you are looking at drip irrigation? In this work and learn, we will practice using a variety of irrigation parts and repair some existing systems. You will leave with a list of needed parts for your garden and a good sense of how to assemble a drip system.
During this work and learn, we will take a walk to look at a variety of pollinator friendly plants and then work together to install a small sample landscape.
Come learn the basics of compost while we work to turn, sift and activate our compost system. You will walk away with a knowledge of the basic ingredients for compost and an idea of how to care for and maintain a healthy compost system.
