This class is cancelled due to low enrollment. We apologize for the inconvenience. Check out Introduction to Permaculture which is scheduled for Saturday, November 10 from 12-3 pm. Topics will include growing native plants. The better connections we have with the environment, the easier it becomes to sustain it. Using native plants for food and materials brings the connection we have with the environment to the forefront. Learn how to analyze plants for human use and how to collect them in a sustainable way.

Learn about local native plants and the benefits of gardening with California native plants. They are drought tolerant, low maintenance, beautiful and attract wildlife. Elderberry Farms grow about 120 different local native plant species. Come and see some favorite plants that make appearances in Yosemite, Zion, Great Basin, Bryce, Mesa Verde National Parks as well as the American River Parkway.
