Jen’s Pumpkin Seed Pate


2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 bell pepper
1 hot pepper
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup minced fresh cilantro
2 TB lemon or lime juice
Olive oil
Salt and pepper


  1. In a food processor or blender, process pumpkin seeds until fine crumbles.
  2. Add sesame seeds, peppers, garlic, cilantro, and lemon/lime juice and process until well combined.
  3. Drizzle in olive oil a little at a time until desired consistency is reached. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve as pasta sauce (thinner consistency) or as a spread.
  5. Try it on a slice of your favorite heirloom tomato.
