Fall is an excellent time to plant fruit trees, culinary herbs and cool weather vegetables. Our greenhouse is bursting with healthy seedlings ready to grow in your home garden. An arrangement of oak leaves, bay leaves, yarrow and orchard grass.

Fruit Tree Nursery Pick: 20th Century Pears
20th Century Pear trees make an excellent addition to your edible landscape. They have semi-dwarf rootstock that keeps them smaller, making them easier to maintain and harvest. The trees produce large crops of juicy, sweet, mild-flavored fruit that is crisp like an apple and keeps well. It’s a great fruit tree for first-time growers.

In the midst of the changing seasons, smoke and reduced sunlight has limited the offerings of produce this week from local farms. It has slowed down growth of fall crops but they will be abundant soon enough. We are grateful for the farmers who continue to work in the fields to bring fresh food to our tables. Enjoy eggplants, tomatoes, sweet peppers and melons before they are gone.

Marketplace Reviews

What a gem! I am so happy that I discovered Soil Born Farms during these crazy times! I can purchase fresh organic fruit and veggies that are in season and they offer a few prepared dishes each week too. I have not been disappointed with the items I’ve ordered. The gazpacho, Greek salad and chicken fajitas were delicious. The portion size is generous and it’s a treat to have a meal that could be from an excellent restaurant. The pastries and bread are yummy too. I am so thankful for this place, I’ll be using the online order and drive-thru service for as long as it is available.
