When spring comes to California, an array of green healing herbs come with it. Violet, chickweed, little mallow, and plantain are all plants that are often overlooked as weeds, which have so much to offer the skin. Come to this class to learn how to make an infused oil and salve from these plants – techniques which can be transported to any other plants you wish to transform into your own health herbal care products.

Session1. Meet the chickens, dig in the dirt, smell herbs and taste fresh fruits and vegetables. Using stories, songs, crafts, and games, our youngest campers will learn about our farm while enjoying playful, fun-filled mornings. For ages 4-5

    8:30am - 1:30pm

Session 1. Learn how to grow food and flowers, harvest and cook with our culinary team, and explore new spaces with us! Youth will spend the week learning about the American River Ranch and connecting to their food, their health and the environment. In the garden, around the farm, and at the American River, campers will become stewards of the natural world and build a new community of friends. For ages 6-8
