Food Access: Farmers' Markets

Farmers' markets are the most well known direct marketing relationship between producers and consumers, a unique opportunity for face-to-face interactions between those that grow the food and those that eat it. Farmers markets begin to bridge the gap between consumers and the food they eat. We continue to see growth in the number of farmers markets, due to a rising interest in local foods as well as the mutually beneficial relationships between producer, consumer and the local community as a whole.

You can purchase certified organic Soil Born Farms produce directly from our farm stand on our American River Ranch site every Saturday, 8 am - 1 pm, May 29 - November 20, 2010.

Soil Born Farms, as a member of the FEED Coalition, helped create the Del Paso Heights Community Farmers Market. It is currently managed by the Mutual Assistance Network of Del Paso Heights. EBT and WIC accepted.
